“The Sabbath is not to be a gloomy day, a day of unrest and uneasiness. Parents may take their children outdoors, in the groves, in the flower garden, and teach them that the Lord has given them these beautiful things as an expression of his love.”

The Community Service Department of the Odsan Seventh-day Adventist Church is a vibrant branch of the church that actively promotes the Love of Christ through humanitarian efforts. Headed by Sister Stephanie A. Headley, this outreach arm  often mobilizes members in efforts to meet a myriad of community needs.

On May 3rd 2025, the department joined the Adventist community in St. Lucia in observing Community Service Day. The day commenced with a program which highlighted the department’s mandate through vibrant song service and preaching. The event culminated with a visit to the St. Lucy’s Home; a sanctuary for the marginalized in St. Lucia.
